HYPOTHESIS: a transformational leadership style improves employee well-being.
METHODS: the employees of six German companies were analyzed.
RESULTS: 318 employees (response rate 58) found a significant relationship between transformational leadership and employee well-being.
CONCLUSIONS: a transformational leadership style has a positive effect on employee well-being.
